It is alleged the group of people demanded to see two grandsons who had been arrested for alleged rape and released for further investigation. Family Spokesperson, Noluvo Mbube, says they are now homeless and fear for their lives.
“This group of people wanted to see my father, they eventually gained entry and pushed him out of the house, assaulted him with sticks and stones, then hacked him to death. After realisng that he was dead, they then set alight all the houses here at home. As I am speaking to you we do not have a shelter, we do not have a home and we are living outside the torched houses. We have children that are supposed to go to school on Monday, they do not have uniform, no food. I really do not know what to say but we have nothing, we are homeless.”
