Mosikili denies allowing OSullivan to enter criminal justice system

Mosikili denies allowing O’Sullivan to enter criminal justice system – SABC News

Deputy National Police Commissioner responsible for policing, Lieutenant-General Tebello Mosikili, has denied that she allowed private investigator, Paul O’Sullivan, to infiltrate the criminal justice system.
Mosikili has been testifying at the Ad Hoc Committee in Cape Town that is investigating concerns regarding national security.
She says she got to know about O’Sullivan when he dropped files at her office, involving the case of convicted organised crime boss, Czech fugitive Radovan Krejčíř.
But she told MPs that O’Sullivan did not get preferential treatment from her.
“I don’t think for a person to come and share info, is untoward if you don’t know where he is coming from … or if he or she is not doing anything wrong. Any person will be listened to …. that is what happened. I can put my head on the block, with the 38 years’ service I have, I have been assisting people,” she explains.
General Mosikili has not been able to confirm the infiltration of SAPS by drug cartels.
She was the acting National Police Commissioner at the time in 2024 when Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, who is currently on special leave, issued a directive for the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
One of the allegations by KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is that SAPS had been infiltrated by one of five drug syndicates in Gauteng.
Mosikili was asked by PA MP, Ashley Sauls if she could confirm the infiltration of the SAPS by drug cartels.
Sauls: “As SA we want to know, is it true that drug cartels have infiltrated SAPS?”
General Mosikili: “I do not know.”
