Uganda Cranes striker Muhammad Shaban has been unveiled at Al Hilal SC – a Libyan top division club based in Benghazi.

Both the player and the club confirmed the development on Sunday, through their respective social media platforms.

“Hey everyone! I’m excited to announce that I’ve officially signed with Al Hilal SC,” the deadly striker announced before shortly adding:

“This is a new chapter in my career, I’m ready to give my all on the pitch and bring my best to the team. Let’s make some unforgettable memories together!”

“From East Africa straight to North to shine always… Ugandan international striker Mohamed Shaaban is a player in the ranks of Al Hilal,” the club also confirmed.

That also confirms it that the Ugandan striker will return to the country very soon, to play against Uganda Premier League (UPL) side Kitara the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

Last season, Shaban emerged as the UPL’s top scorer after scoring 17 goals for KCCA, despite the Kasasiro Boys’ distant fifth finish on the table of 16 teams.

The former KCCA, Vipers and Onduparaka striker also previously played for Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in the 2018/19 season.
