 Museveni elevates seven senior Police officers to Assistant Inspector General rank

President Yoweri Museveni who is also the commander in chief of the armed forces  has promoted seven Senior Commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).The officers promoted include Ubaldo Bamunoba, Chief Political Commissar; Felix Baryamwisaki, ICT Director; Moses Kafeero, Director of Human Resource Development and Training; Charles Kataratambi, Director of Human Rights and Legal Affairs; Frank Mwesigwa, Operations Director; Hadijja Namutebi, Director for Research, Planning, and Development; and David Wasswa, Director of Counter-Terrorism.The promotions, announced on Wednesday, aim to align the ranks of these officers with their respective leadership roles.The rank of AIGP is the third-highest in the Uganda Police Force hierarchy, and officers holding director-level positions are typically expected to hold this rank. https://www.ugbulletin.co.ug/museveni-elevates-seven-senior-police-officers-to-assistant-inspector-general-rank/
