The National Unity Platform (NUP) MP aspirant, Eid S. Simiyu, on Saturday officially launched his campaign manifesto for Bubulo East Constituency at Mission Cell, Lwakhakha Ward in Lwakhakha Town Council, Namisindwa District, with a strong focus on improving service delivery for residents.Simiyu highlighted key priorities including improved road infrastructure, expanded access to quality education, strengthened health services, upgraded education facilities and economic empowerment programs for youth and women across the constituency.The event attracted several Bugisu region NUP leaders, led by Wepukhulu Abner, the Regional Mobilizer for the National Unity Platform.Addressing a large crowd drawn from across the constituency, Simiyu appreciated residents and party leaders for their massive turnout and emphasized his vision for a Bubulo East that works for everyone.Speaking to supporters, Simiyu stressed that accountability, community participation, and development-driven leadership form the core of his agenda.In his opening remarks, Samba Hedrock, the LC1 chairman, urged Simiyu to lobby for the rehabilitation of dilapidated roads that continue to hinder effective transport in the area.Amina Fesito, a nurse and resident, also thanked Simiyu for presenting a clear and promising manifesto, pledging full support because she believes he is the only candidate with the ability to steer the constituency toward meaningful progress.Andrew Kituno, a teacher, assured that he will vote for Simiyu in the upcoming general election, describing the manifesto as practical, people-centered, and long overdue.“We have listened, and we believe he understands what this community needs. This is the kind of leadership we have been waiting for.” He added. Simiyu concluded by thanking the constituents for their overwhelming support and reaffirmed his commitment to serve them with integrity. He will take on John Musila the incumbent and NRM flag bearer for the seat.
