NBL Finals: UCU Lady Canons Seek Redemption
Friday, September 6*UCU Lady Canons Vs JKL Lady Dolphins (2-2) – 7pm
UCU Lady Canons will be looking to rediscover their form when they face JKL Lady Dolphins in game five of the National Basketball League (NBL) Finals on Friday at Lugogo.
The series, now tied 2-2, is shaping up to be an intense battle, with both teams eager to gain the upper hand in the best-of-seven showdown.
UCU, under the guidance of Coach Nicholas Natuhereza, took an early lead in the series, winning the first two games.

However, JKL Lady Dolphins showed resilience by bouncing back with consecutive victories to level the series.
In game four on Wednesday, UCU’s slow start proved costly, as they trailed 20-08 after the first quarter and ultimately fell 53-60.
The absence of key player Hajara Najjuko, who is averaging 9 points per game, was felt on both ends of the floor.
Najjuko is expected to return for Friday’s crucial encounter.
Rebounding was another area of concern for the Lady Canons, who were out-rebounded 45-60. UCU’s frontcourt, led by Bridget Aber, will need to step up their efforts to control the boards if they hope to regain the advantage in the series.

Meanwhile, JKL will be keen to build on their momentum and take the lead for the first time in this finals series.
The defending champions, who are aiming to secure another league title, have beaten UCU twice in previous finals, while the Lady Canons have claimed one victory against JKL.
