Sunday, July 28*UPDF Lady Tomahawks 57-84 JKL Lady Dolphins (0-2)*JT Lady Jaguars 53-49 KCCA Leopards (0-2)*JT Jaguars 41-57 KIU Titans (0-2)

KIU Titans have advanced to the Semifinals of the National Basketball League Playoffs after a commanding victory over the JT Jaguars.

The Titans secured their spot with a 57-41 win in game two, completing a 2-0 sweep following their earlier triumph in game one.

The Titans established their dominance early, taking a 20-08 lead by the end of the first quarter and maintaining control throughout the game.

Despite a brief rally from JT Jaguars, sparked by Joseph Chuma’s hook shot that brought them within seven points in the fourth quarter, the Titans responded decisively with a 13-0 run to seal the victory.

Kasereka Tembo led the Titans with a game-high 14 points, while Peter Obleng recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Mpiya Juf also contributed 12 points to the team’s effort.

The JT Jaguars struggled offensively, with no player reaching double digits. Both Joseph Chuma and Abraham Dut managed 9 points each, and the team had a dismal performance from beyond the arc, converting just one of their 18 three-point attempts.

With this victory, KIU Titans have secured their place in the Semifinals where they are expected to meet Nam Blazers who lead their quarterfinal series against Our Savior 1-0.

The other semifinal will see City Oilers take on the winner between UCU Canons and KCCA Panthers, the later trailing 1-0 with game two due Wednesday.
