Nerrick Tumusiime Destroys Depark Mawanda After Two Rounds
Watch highlights here:
Nerrick ‘Bulabe’ Tumusiime continued his impressive run in the Uganda Boxing Champions League, making light pork of Mawanda Depark in the main fight of Week 7 at Club Obligato on Saturday.
The light middleweight bout came to an abrupt end in the second round when the referee stopped the fight after Depark sustained a significant cut on his left eye.
Tumusiime’s relentless aggression from the start proved too much for Depark, who was sent to the canvas twice in the first round before being saved by the bell.
In the second round, Tumusiime maintained his offensive onslaught, landing a series of powerful blows to Depark’s head.
A particularly heavy punch opened up the cut on Depark’s eye, prompting the referee, on the advice of the ringside medic, to stop the fight and declare Tumusiime the winner.
This victory marks Tumusiime’s second triumph of the season, having previously defeated Broline Kimbugwe in the season opener.
