NETA Uganda to Host National Women’s Entrepreneurs Conference 2026

By Kabuye Ronald

The National Entrepreneurs and Traders Association Uganda (NETA) has announced plans to host the National Women’s Entrepreneurs Conference 2026, scheduled to take place on 3rd April 2026 at Hotel Africana.

The conference is expected to attract women entrepreneurs, traders, startup founders, policymakers, investors, and development partners from across the country in a bid to strengthen women-led enterprises and promote inclusive economic growth.

According to the leadership of NETA Uganda, the conference will serve as a national platform to address challenges affecting women in business, including limited access to finance, market barriers, digital transformation gaps, and policy constraints.

In a statement issued ahead of the event, the President of NETA Uganda emphasized the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs as a strategic driver of Uganda’s economic transformation.

“Women entrepreneurs play a critical role in driving Uganda’s economy. This conference will provide a strong platform for women to connect, learn, access opportunities, and scale their businesses sustainably,” the President said.

The one-day conference will feature high-level networking sessions, expert-led discussions on finance and digital innovation, policy dialogue, and investment engagement opportunities. Organizers say the event will also recognize outstanding women entrepreneurs who have demonstrated resilience and innovation in their respective sectors.

Business analysts note that women-led enterprises form a significant portion of Uganda’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), contributing to employment creation and household income stability. However, many continue to face structural challenges that limit their growth potential.

NETA Uganda believes the conference will help bridge these gaps by fostering collaboration between women entrepreneurs, financial institutions, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders.

Registration for the conference is now open, and women entrepreneurs across Uganda are encouraged to participate.
