New IGG Naluzze Pays Courtesy Visit to State House Anti-Corruption Unit


Kampala — The Inspector General of Government (IGG), Hon. Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SH-ACU), where she was received by the Unit’s Head, Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke.

 
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the two institutions in the fight against corruption, with particular emphasis on enhanced coordination and information sharing.
Brig. Gen. Isoke congratulated Lady Justice Naluzze Batala upon her appointment by H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and reaffirmed the State House Anti-Corruption Unit’s commitment to working closely with her and her team at the Inspectorate of Government. He also briefed the IGG on the mandate of the SH-ACU, outlining its unique functions and ongoing strategic operations aimed at combating corruption and other related injustices.
In her remarks, the new IGG underscored that a key priority of her tenure will be the prosecution of corruption suspects to ensure deterrence and accountability.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Michael Tumukurate, Manager of Special Investigations at the IGG; Ms. Munira Ali, Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Public Relations at the IGG; Mr. Israel Ochwo, Deputy Head of SH-ACU; and Mr. Ngolobe Amos, Consultant at SH-ACU.
