New witness expected at Madlanga Commission

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry is expecting a new witness to take the stand on Monday morning.
The Commission was established by President Cyril Ramaphosa following allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, last year.
Mkhwanazi accused some of the top SAPS officials of colluding with criminal syndicates.
He also accused Police Minister Senzo Mchunu of unlawfully disbanding the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
The Madlanga Commission continues under phase two of its public hearings.
Those who have been implicated under phase one are now before the Commission responding to the allegations.
Mchunu and suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner for Crime Detection, Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya, are among those who have testified before the commission.
Sibiya has been accused of being in bed with members of the alleged criminal cartel.
Both have since denied corruption allegations made against them.
