Nakawa, Kampala– A total of 751 Students have graduated in various business disciplines at Degree, Diploma and Certificate level from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Nakawa Kampala.

While officiating the graduation ceremony, Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga, Makerere University Chancellor who doubled as the Special Guest urged the Graduands to be job creators but not job seekers.
“In Uganda we have aerable land rain, rivers and lakes, but it is unfortunate that we still have unemployment. This is a contradiction ,we must sort out and in so doing, the University must contribute to that.”
He also pointed out that he has already convinced Makerere University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bernabus Nawangwe , to transform the University’s land in Kyankwanzi into Agro industrial Park where the University students will be supported to grow one crop or two.
Kiyonga asked the Graduands to distance themselves away from am form of corruption because it affects service delivery and promotes incompetence.
Prof. Moses Muhwezi, the Principal of Makerere University Business School stated that the institutionnot only produce graduates, but empowers innovators to address Uganda’s social economic transformation through knowledge and skills.
“We have worked on our 5 years development plan 2025 up to 2030, it was launched and identified five pillars on which to rely on in running the institution, they are aligned to the National Development Plan.”
He further tasked the graduates to remain disciplined, solution-oriented and committed to lifelong growth as they go out into the world.
At this Graduation Ceremony held under a theme 12 inmates at Luzira Upper Prison successfully graduated in absenure with Diplomas.
