Nameere Is an Energetic Young Lady, Says Minister Balaam

Speaking during an interview on UBC Television, Balaam expressed confidence in the working relationship between the two ministers, noting that he had previously worked with Nameere and witnessed her dedication and professionalism firsthand.
“Nameere is of the Ente (Cow) Clan, which makes her my mother culturally. I worked with her at Radio 4 where she served as a Sales Consultant. She is very smart, hardworking, and a go-getter,” Balaam said.
He thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for appointing Nameere to the ministry, saying her energy and commitment would greatly contribute to the ministry’s mandate.
“I thank the President for giving me such an energetic young lady to work with. I am confident that together we shall advise each other and deliver better services to Ugandans,” he added.
Balaam emphasized that the ministry’s primary responsibility is to serve citizens effectively, strengthen local government systems, and combat corruption at both local government and town council levels.
“Our role is to serve Ugandans and eliminate corruption in local governments and town councils. We need institutions to function effectively from the top down,” he said.
The minister further pledged to remain closely connected to the people and ensure that their concerns are addressed promptly through improved service delivery and accountable leadership.
