Mukono District Swears in New Leadership as Francis Lukooya Mukoome Assumes Office


Mukono–  Francis Lukooya Mukoome has officially assumed office as the new Mukono District LCV Chairperson following a formal swearing-in ceremony that also saw 44 District Councillors take the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office.

The ceremony was presided over by Chief Magistrate Her Worship Nassozi Rehema Ssebowa, who administered the oaths after the Mukono District Returning Officer from the Electoral Commission read out the names of the duly elected leaders.
Following the swearing-in, Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Ddamba Henry officially handed over the instruments of office to the newly sworn-in district chairperson. The handover included office keys, the official vehicle, district stamp, the Constitution, Local Government Acts, and the District Status Report.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including Edward Katumba Wamala, Resident District Commissioner Hajjati Fatuma Ndisaba and her deputy Muyambi Moses, District NRM Chairperson Hajji Haruna Ssemakula, members of the district technical team led by CAO Ddamba Henry and Deputy CAO Mr. Muhumuza Stephen, political leaders from various parties, and residents from across Mukono District.

Leaders and residents congratulated the newly elected district leadership as they begin their mandate to steer service delivery and development across Mukono District.
