\n\u201d When choosing leaders, we must first ask what needs to be done for the people before asking who should do it. Politics must reject identity, religion, tribalism and gender chauvinism, and instead focus on solving people\u2019s problems. Our priority remains wealth creation and social- economic transformation through productive engagement in agriculture, services, artisanship and ICT.\u201d
\nThe 12th Parliament tomorrow will hold its first sitting on Monday 25th May 2026. It\u2019s from this sitting that the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker will be elected
\nNew candidate on the position of Speaker will contest against National Unity Platform\u2019s Paul Mwiru and Democratic Party\u2019s Nobert Mao.
