\n\u201cFive additional suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of Sydney Gongodyo, a professional rugby player, following an incident that occurred on 5 June 2026.\u201d Remarked Recheal Kawala, Police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan
\nThis brings the total number of suspects in custody to eight (8) as investigations into the alleged mob killing continue.
\nThe suspects who are in Police custody are; Sebagala Noordin, Ayebazibwe Roden, Namukose Juliet, Mondoni Elly, Twinomujuni Herbert.
\nOthers are; Katsigazi Perigrino, Tayebwa Darlious and Tugume Hannington.
\nPolice has assured the Public that efforts are ongoing to identify, trace, and apprehend other individuals believed to have participated in the incident.
