\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHistory makers, Merryhill Christian High School have discovered their quarter final opponents of the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Associations qualifiers for Mukono District Boys football following the official draws held on Wednesday at MukononKings High School.
\nThe Kamanzi coached side has been placed in group A, where they face off with District champions, Mukono Kings High School, Seroma Christian High School and Kasana Vocational School.
\nFollowing their qualifications to Mukono Zone, Merryhill have a lot to prove as par the targets set this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur target is big because we not only want to qualify to region but we also want to go far as Nationals since we have been building this for years and so we are optimistic that we can qualify there\u201d. Stated David Kamanzi in an interview with this website.
\nTo reach this far, Merryhill Christian High School has put up an outstanding performance.
\nAt round of 64, Merryhill was pitted against Namilyango College, Seeta High Green, Bishop Senior Secondary School and St Francis Borgia.
\nAt the stage, they (Merryhill Christian High School) defeated three schools by 1-0 scoreline and only lost to St Francis Borgia with the same scoreline.<\/p>\n
At Round of 32, they lost 2-0 to Dynamic SS Ssonde, played a one (1-1) draw with Lakeview Mpatta, and won New Horizon by 2-1 scoreline.
\nAt round of Sixteen (16), Merryhill played barren draws (0-0) against Latifah Mixed SS Kabimbiri and Kasawo Islamic School before winning Mukono Islamic by 1-0 scoreline.
\nGroup A games will be hosted by Kasana Vocational School on Saturday 28th, March 2026.
\nMeanwhile, Latifah Mixed Secondary School Kabimbiri has been seeded in group B, alongside Dynamic SS Ssonde, Namilyango College School and Central College Kabimbiri. This group will have their fixtures played at Central College Kabimbiri on Sunday 29th, March.<\/p>\n
Top two teams in each group will face off in a one tie (knockout) with the winners advancing to this year\u2019s finals.
\nAll the eight (8) schools which advanced to this stage have automatically qualified for Mukono Zone Qualifiers.
