\nKawempe Muslim SS made a strong statement on matchday one of the USSSA Kawempe Zonal Qualifiers, winning both their fixtures to go top of the standings as action unfolded at Kawempe Muslim playground.
\nThe hosts began their campaign with a composed 2-0 victory over Oxford Muslim High, thanks to goals from Bukenya Stephen and Walugembe Augustine. They later capped off a perfect day with a dominant 3-0 win against Universal High School, where Ismael Habib struck a brace and Boum Ruon added a powerful header to seal the result.
\nElsewhere, Caltec Academy also got off to a flying start, defeating Makerere College 2-0 in a game where both goals\u2014scored by Kato Robinson and Wasswa Ronald\u2014came in the first half.

\nKazo Hill registered an impressive 2-0 victory over Universal High School Kisaasi in one of the most competitive encounters of the day. Despite the loss, Universal High showed resilience but were let down by their finishing in front of goal. Miiro Wahab and Ssekalunga Lawrence found the net for Kazo Hill.
\nThe most dramatic fixture saw Highland SS hold Ghadafi Integrated to a 1-1 draw in a tension-filled contest. Kasule Reagan gave Ghadafi the lead from the penalty spot just before halftime after Highland\u2019s goalkeeper was sent off for a dangerous foul in the box. Down to ten men, Highland rallied in the second half and found an equalizer through Ssenyange Latif, with both goals coming from penalties.

\nMakerere College bounced back from their opening loss in style, securing a 2-0 win over Oxford Muslim High. Latifh Ssemugga and Jovan Lumala Kiwanuka scored in either half to ensure their side returned to winning ways.
\nWith two wins from two matches, Kawempe Muslim SS sits comfortably at the top of the table with six points, setting the pace in the early stages of the competition.
\nThe qualifiers resume tomorrow at Highland SS playground, with teams continuing their push for the three available slots to represent Kawempe Zone at the Kampala Region championships.<\/p>\n
