The win secured a highly anticipated clash against defending champions Buddo Secondary School.<br \/>\nIn the final, however, experience proved decisive as Buddo SS showcased their pedigree to claim a 25\u201316 victory, successfully defending their title and reaffirming their status as a netball powerhouse in the region.<br \/>\nDespite the defeat, Light College\u2019s achievement was widely celebrated within their camp.<br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s a great achievement. As a school, we have never reached even the semifinal of any competition, so we\u2019re happy for this incredible performance from our girls and the technical team,\u201d said netball manager Jordan Nsibambi.<br \/>\nCoach Mpoza, who joined the school in December, remains optimistic about the future.<br \/>\n\u201cThe team is good. My main focus is to qualify for the nationals, and I believe we shall get there,\u201d he noted.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, success for the institution came at primary level, where their sister school Winsa Primary School clinched the championship title after defeating Kanjuki Junior School 28\u201318 in the final on their debut appearance.<br \/>\nThe Buganda Schools Competitions, which climaxed at Kawanda Secondary School grounds, saw Buddo SS complete a remarkable double by winning both the boys\u2019 football and netball titles at secondary level.<br \/>\nIn girls\u2019 football, Kawempe Muslim Secondary School edged Standard High School Zana 1\u20130 thanks to a lone strike from Mildred Nambalirwa.<br \/>\nAt primary level, Bright Future Primary School triumphed in the boys\u2019 football category, defeating St. Noa Junior School 9\u20138 in a tense penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regulation time.<br \/>\nWhile Buddo SS once again stamped their authority, Light College Katikamu Masuliita\u2019s fairytale run stands out as one of the tournament\u2019s most inspiring stories\u2014signaling the rise of a new contender in school netball.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/voiceofbugerere.com\/light-college-fall-short-but-make-statement-in-buganda-netball-championship\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=light-college-fall-short-but-make-statement-in-buganda-netball-championship\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Light College Impresses on Debut as Buddo SS Retain Buganda Netball Crown&#13;
