\nThe 2026 USSSA Kampala Regional Qualifiers reached a decisive turning point on Day Two, with Lubiri Secondary School and Buziga Theological Institute confirming their places in the quarterfinals as the group stage edges closer to completion.
\nLubiri SS have been the standout performers in Group C, winning all four of their matches to seal early qualification. Their latest statement came in a 2-0 victory over City High School, with Marith Abuyi and James Ssali on target. They also cruised past Kyambogo College 3-0 to maintain a flawless run.
\nIn Group A, Buziga Theological Institute joined them in the last eight after winning three consecutive matches, underlining their consistency and strength heading into the knockout phase with a last group stage fixture to spare.
\nUganda Martyrs High School continued their fine form with a 2-0 win over Kololo SS, courtesy of goals from Kalyesubula James and Kavuma Medie though they face a must win fixture tomorrow if they\u2019re to book a place in quarters. Kololo SS, however, responded with a narrow 1-0 victory against Bishop Kihangire, thanks to Josiah Grace lone strike.

\nKakungulu Memorial edged Kawempe Muslim SS 1-0 through a stunning long-range strike from Ampurire Kevin, before battling to a 1-1 draw with Mengo SS. Mengo had earlier secured a 2-1 win over Luzira SS, while Kibuli SS defeated Kazo Hill College 3-1.
\nBishop Cyprian Kihangire also impressed with a 3-1 win over Caltec Academy, while Buziga Islamic overcame the same opponents by a similar margin in another fixture.
\nWith only a handful of matches left to conclude the group stage, the race for the remaining quarterfinal spots remains wide open. The knockout phase will kick off tomorrow afternoon, with quarterfinal matches scheduled at Ham Stadium Nakivubo, Mengo SS, and Kibuli SS.
