\nIn a statement issued on April 22, 2026, AOGU President Rogers Kajabwangu conveyed sympathy to Nakimuli\u2019s family, loved ones, constituents, and all Ugandans mourning her death.
\nThe association noted that, as a professional body committed to advancing quality reproductive healthcare, it shares in the public concern surrounding the circumstances of the legislator\u2019s death.
\nAOGU revealed that a clinical review is currently underway at the health facility where Nakimuli received treatment. The review, it said, is part of standard medical practice aimed at learning, improving care, and ensuring that high professional standards are upheld.
\nThe body appealed to the public to remain calm and allow due processes to take their course, emphasizing its commitment to professionalism, transparency, and accountability in healthcare delivery.
\nAOGU also acknowledged the emotional and psychological toll such incidents can have on healthcare workers involved, pledging support to its members and other professionals affected during this period.
\nThe association reaffirmed its dedication to working with stakeholders to strengthen public trust in Uganda\u2019s health system and to enhance the quality and safety of care for women and families nationwide.
\nNakimuli\u2019s death has drawn widespread attention, with various institutions and leaders continuing to pay tribute to her service and legacy.<\/p>\n\n
