For the Mukono-based side, this marks a historic milestone\u2014their first-ever appearance at this stage of the national championship.<br \/>\nLatifah Mixed SS has already proven they are no pushovers. In a dramatic Round of 16 encounter on Monday morning, they edged past Kampala powerhouse Uganda Martyrs Lubaga via a tense 4-3 penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw in normal time. Goals from Joan Namutwa and captain Pauline Namulinda kept their hopes alive before they held their nerve from the spot.<\/p>\n<p>Their journey to the quarterfinals has been nothing short of impressive. Despite opening their campaign with a narrow 3-2 loss to Jinja Secondary School, Latifah bounced back strongly with victories over Panyandoli Self Help Secondary School (2-1) and Binyinyi Secondary School (10-0).<br \/>\nThey continued their fine form by eliminating St Andrews Secondary School Rubindi 4-2 in the Round of 32.Notably, Latifah Mixed has scored at least two goals in every match at the championship so far, a testament to their attacking consistency. However, they now face their toughest challenge yet.<br \/>\nSt Noa Girls Secondary School Zzana, widely regarded as one of the region\u2019s most dominant sides, come into the match as favorites. Known for their clinical finishing and disciplined play, they will be aiming to assert their pedigree early.<br \/>\nWith all other Mukono Zone teams already out of contention, the hopes of the region now rest solely on Latifah Mixed SS.
