I am very impressed with their performance, especially the girls because some of them are still learning how to hold a racquet, but they have surprised many people,\u201d Kigozi told this website.<br \/>\n\u201cI believe next year there will be huge development in them,\u201d he added.<br \/>\nThe girls\u2019 team also earned praise after finishing sixth overall, a performance Kigozi believes lays a strong foundation for the future of badminton at the school.<br \/>\nAmong the notable players who featured for Kakungulu Memorial were Sserwada Ryan, Zamba Julius, Sserubiri Abdul Awal, Ssendiwala Atlas, Emaru Don Liam and Samula Abdul Shakur in the boys\u2019 category.<br \/>\nThe girls\u2019 team featured Namubiru Victoria, Najjuma Vilgar, Kobusingye Joselyn, Naggayi Rashimah, Nabagereka Anisha and Alaru Price.<br \/>\nThe championship climaxed on Thursday with Kibuli Secondary School successfully retaining the boys\u2019 title while Mbogo High School defended the girls\u2019 crown.<br \/>\nThe record participation at this year\u2019s championship also impressed Simon Mugabi, who visited the tournament venue during the games and applauded the continued growth of school badminton in Uganda.<\/p>\n\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/voiceofbugerere.com\/usssa-ball-games-2026-kakungulu-memorial-eyes-future-after-securing-feassa-badminton-slot\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=usssa-ball-games-2026-kakungulu-memorial-eyes-future-after-securing-feassa-badminton-slot\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Kayiira Jackson\u00a0 Kakungulu Memorial Secondary School has sealed qualification for the 2026 East Africa Secondary Schools Games despite narrowly missing out on a podium finish at the USSSA Ball Games I badminton championship held at Seroma Christian High School.
