Her understanding with the Goal Shooter and ability to switch play at speed became one of the tournament\u2019s standout features.<br \/>\nBorn in 2010 at Kuru Hospital in Yumbe District to Mr. Saidi Onama and Mrs. Khadija Aduru, Saidi\u2019s journey to stardom has not been without challenges.<br \/>\nHer education nearly came to a halt while in Primary Four after her parents struggled to raise school fees. However, her talent earned her a lifeline when Katale Progressive School offered her a bursary under the guidance of coach John Bosco Sseguya.<br \/>\nThat opportunity transformed her career.<br \/>\nSaidi later joined Hamdan Islamic Secondary School in Senior One in 2024 through the school\u2019s athletes\u2019 scholarship program and immediately broke into the first team setup.<br \/>\nSince then, she has enjoyed a rapid rise, helping the school win two Mukono District U20 championships, two Mukono Region U20 titles, one Mukono District U17 championship, and one Mukono Region U17 crown.<br \/>\nLast year, she played a central role as Hamdan reached its first-ever U17 national final and also secured qualification for the FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya \u2014 a milestone she still cherishes deeply.<br \/>\nSubra Saidi, USSSA Netball U17 MVP<br \/>\n\u201cMy best moment was travelling to Kenya. I had never dreamt about us qualifying. I am still living the dream,\u201d Saidi said.<br \/>\nAway from school competitions, the youngster has also made strides at club level after helping Canan Netball Club qualify for the National Netball Super League last year.<br \/>\nSaidi revealed she admires playing alongside a tall Goal Shooter and singled out Sera Zam of NIC Netball Club as one of the players she looks up to.<br \/>\nThe soft-spoken Senior Three student was quick to credit coach Sseguya for her growth and success.<br \/>\n\u201cI want to appreciate my beloved coach John Sseguya who has helped me prove my talent to everyone. He has never left us. He is always with us, helping us improve.
