\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tYouth football lovers are set for another thrilling weekend as the King of Soccer Epic Gala returns with its highly anticipated 14th Season, scheduled for Saturday, 14th May 2026 at Green Valley Playground, Kigombya Mukono.
\nThe youth football tournament continues to grow into one of the region\u2019s most respected grassroots football events, aimed at creating opportunities for talented young players to be identified by schools and academies offering sports bursaries.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s edition will feature competition in three age categories:
\nUnder 8 (U8)Under 11 (U11)Under 13 (U13)
\nSpeaking ahead of the tournament, Isaac Nteza, Director of Mukono Galacticos, the organizers of the gala, assured participants and football fans of a fair and competitive event.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a tournament where the best teams win, and we do this by staging a gala where kids compete favorably. We expect great and fair football because big names have turned up for this gala,\u201d said Nteza.
\nSeason 13 attracted over ten teams and produced exciting football across all categories. In the U8 category, Mukono Galacticos edged Skyline Soccer Academy 1-0 to lift the title.
\nThe U11 final was even more dramatic as Mukono Galacticos needed penalties to overcome Real Stars from Luweero 8-7 after a goalless draw in normal time.<\/p>\n
In the U13 category, four teams competed in a round-robin format. Mukono Galacticos emerged champions after collecting seven points from a possible nine. Other participating teams included Lugazi All Stars, Kitfam, and Bright Unit.
\nAhead of Season 14, a total of eighteen teams have already confirmed participation, promising an exciting and highly competitive tournament.
