\nThe meeting, held at the Judiciary headquarters in Kampala, brought together officials from the justice, governance, and security sectors to coordinate Uganda\u2019s preparations for the international conference.
\nSpeaking during the meeting, Lady Justice Abodo commended the Governance and Security Programme Secretariat for its continued coordination and support toward Uganda\u2019s participation in the global event. She also appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for facilitating the country\u2019s engagement in the session.
\nThe discussions centered on technical and strategic preparations for the conference, updates on the composition of Uganda\u2019s delegation, and planned engagements during the Vienna session.
\nStakeholders also reviewed preparations for Uganda\u2019s side event, which will be conducted under the theme, \u201cForensic-led Justice and Institutional Innovation.\u201d The event is expected to showcase Uganda\u2019s progress in integrating forensic science and institutional reforms into the justice delivery system.
\nThe meeting further heard that Uganda\u2019s delegation will include representatives from key justice and security institutions, among them the Judiciary, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Uganda Police Force, and the Uganda Prisons Service.
\nParticipants additionally discussed plans for a documentary that will be screened during the conference. According to officials, the documentary will highlight Uganda\u2019s judicial reforms and the country\u2019s growing leadership in the use of forensic science to strengthen justice administration.

\nLady Justice Abodo is expected to lead Uganda\u2019s delegation to Vienna alongside officials from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and other justice sector institutions.
