Nine accused in TUT lecturer’s murder back in court on Wednesday


The case against nine people arrested for the murder of Tshwane University of Technology lecturer will continue on Wednesday in the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court.
Masasi Sifundo was attacked and killed allegedly by the group last month, after they accused him of raping two minors aged between eight and 12.
The accused, Koketso Mlambo, Thapelo Mothemane, Solomon Maunatlala, Kholofelo Phasha, Kabelo Mothiba, Koketso Masuku, Lerato Matlala, Marry Mogale and Maggy Phasha face murder charges.
Magistrate Tshepo Mokome remanded the accused back in custody.
“The proceedings are adjourned until the 11 of March for further hearing. Accused number one to nine will all remain in custody.”
