The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has confirmed to the SABC that Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola has been summoned to appear before the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court.
This relates to the multi‑million‑rand Medicare24 Tshwane District contract.

The NPA declined to provide further comment, saying all relevant details will be released when Masemola appears in court on the 21st of April. Attempted‑murder accused Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala and fifteen others, including senior police officers, appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on charges linked to the Medicare24 Tshwane District tender. The charges include fraud, money laundering, and corruption.
