Patrice Motsepe dismisses rumours of ANC presidential bid

African Rainbow Minerals chairperson and billionaire mining magnate Dr Patrice Motsepe has once again dismissed rumours that he is set to run for President at the African National Congress 2027 elective conference.
Addressing shareholders at African Rainbow Minerals’ latest results presentation, Motsepe described the rumours as “false and unfounded.”
He used the financial results presentation to officially distance himself from the so-called “PM27” succession movement.
Motsepe told investors that his focus remains entirely on the company’s contribution to the South African economy.
