Police List Older Persons, Children Among the Lost and Found Property at Namugongo

The Uganda Police has listed a number of things which had got lost from the Uganda  Martyr’s Shrine at Namugongo but later recovered.
While giving the update from Namugongo, Luke Owoyesogyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson highlighted among the recovered property including; mobile phones, National Identity Cards, bags, children and elderly persons.

Owoyesigyire says;  “The situation at Namugongo Martyrs’ shrines remain normal, with our officers deployed to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.”
He has appealed to members of the public who may have lost any of their items or family members to visit the Child and Family Protection Unit office or the Criminal Investigation Department tents to recover their lost items.

“Additionally, we urge all pilgrims to stay hydrated due to the high temperatures currently being experienced in the country. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.”
