Police in Kampala have arrested one of their own for allegedly defiling his 13 -year-old daughter.Constable Samuel Kadda attached to Kasangati Police Station in the general duties was arrested for allegedly defiling his 13 year own daughter.It is allegedly that since Kadda stayed in a single room with her daughter in the barracks where they shared the bed, she on several occasions, forcefully had sex with her.“It was not until the 13-year-old daughter reported the matter to their neighbour who also reported to the child and family protection unit,” a source privy to the ongoing investigations told the UG Bulletin.A case of aggravated defilement was entered at Kasangati Police Station under SD Reference 103/30/9/2024.On learning that he had been reported to police, the suspect tried to run away but was chased and arrested.He is currently detained at Kasangati police station as investigations into the matter continue, before he is arraigned before court on charges of aggravated defilement.Section 129 of the Penal Code Act defines aggravated defilement as performing a sexual act with another person who is below the age of four years, where the offender is infected with HIV, where the offender is a parent or guardian of or a person in authority over, the person againstwhom the offence is committed, where the victim of the offence is a person with a disability; or where the offender is a serial offender.The Penal Code says this person is on conviction by the High Court, liable to suffer death.https://www.ugbulletin.co.ug/police-officer-arrested-for-defiling-own-daughter/
