KAMPALA — The City Hall Magistrates Court in Kampala has remanded to Luzira Prison a private security guard to prison over the alleged rape, murder and aggravated robbery of social media personality Diana Namulinde popularly known as Diana Skyz.

The suspect, identified as Webisa Marvin, appeared before court on Thursday but did not take plea because the offences are capital in nature and therefore only triable by the High Court. The prosecution informed court that investigations are still ongoing, prompting the magistrate to adjourn the matter for mention at a later date.
Namulinde, 24, was discovered dead inside her apartment in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja, on February 4, 2026, after friends reportedly raised concern when they lost contact with her.
Preliminary police findings indicate the case involves suspected strangulation and aggravated robbery. Authorities say further forensic inquiries are underway to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the killing.
The accused remains on remand as detectives continue gathering evidence ahead of committal proceedings to the High Court.
