Tributes continue to pour in for the late Congress of the People (COPE) leader Mosiuoa Lekota.
He died in a hospital in Midrand, Johannesburg, on Wednesday at the age of 77.
African National Congress National Executive Committee member, Lindiwe Sisulu, has described Lekota as a passionate man.
“Terror was a hundred per cent given to his responsibility towards the ANC; he loved the organisation. And he was a very passionate man in everything that he does, which he is committed to. A very committed cadre. Imprisoned at a very young age, by the time he came back, he had made up his mind that he was going to make sure that the country was liberated.”
Lekota had stepped back from active politics last year to focus on his health. This led to the appointment of Teboho Loate as the interim leader of COPE.
