BY WILBER MUHWEZI KASIBANTE[MK]IN BUSHENYI DISTRICTwww.mknewslink.comSix parish development model case files have been opened at Bushenyi police CID department and two people were arrested yesterday for taking bribes from beneficiaries.According to an official from the CID department of Bushenyi police, the six files were opened since yesterday Dec. 11, 2025.He identified the arrested as Magoma Hamson the LC2 chairman of kahunge parish in Nyabubare sub-county.He is accused of taking a bribe of 102000= from a beneficiary of PDM and the money was sent to his phone using mobile money and the message is with the complainant.The second suspect is Nimwesiga Lauben the chairman Kahungye PDM sacco who has also been involved in extortion.The actions in PDM in Bushenyi district were sparked off by the visit of the president on Dec. 02, 2025 in kizinda where he ordered for the arrest of PDM thieves.After the visit of the president, RDC and CAO Bushenyi District; Emmy Ngabirano and Fiona Sanyu respectively started the hunt for PDM thieves and since yesterday they have been working with police to apprehend program thieves.Officials told www.mknewslink.com news website that some suspects have been demanding bribes before and after beneficiaries have received money for PDM.CID official who never wanted to be named told this mighty news paper online that bribes received before and after receiving PDM money range from 100,000= to 400,000= PER 1 Million received by a beneficiary.President Yoweri Museveni has been categorical on arresting and prosecuting thieves in PDM program.
