In yet another remarkable act of generosity, SSEMCO, a number one leading supplier of rice and maize flour in Mubende, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the Muslim community. Following its initial distribution in Mubende Town, the company extended its iftar donation to the Muslim community of Kasambya County this Friday, reinforcing its dedication to supporting those observing the holy month of Ramadan.

At a special handover ceremony held at the SSEMCO factory, Sheikh Muhammad, the coordinator of this iftar donation, represented Mr. Moses Serugga, the company’s founder, in delivering 44 bags of rice (each weighing 25kg) to Imams from various mosques across Kasambya. The donation was warmly received, with prayers and blessings poured upon the company for its continuous goodwill.

While speaking on a call, Wabusimba Amiri commended SSEMCO’s growing commitment to the Muslim community, stating: “When the first distribution was made, I thought that was the end. But seeing this generosity extend to Kasambya, it is clear that your love for the Muslim community is not just an act of kindness—it is a reflection of true brotherhood. I call upon all the people of Mubende to support your business because a friend in need is a friend indeed. And you are not just a friend; you are a true embodiment of the values we hold dear in Islam.”

The Imams, deeply moved by the act, reminded the congregation of the blessings attached to feeding those who fast: “Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person.” (Hadith – Tirmidhi)

They further encouraged all well-wishers to use this sacred time to support those in need, emphasizing that even the smallest act of kindness holds immense reward. What makes this even more profound is that Mr. Serugga himself is not a Muslim. Yet, his actions speak volumes of the generosity and unity that should exist among all people. The Imams, recognizing the sincerity of his giving heart, offered a special prayer: “Though you have given to us, you will not receive the rewards of fasting. But we pray that Allah, in His infinite mercy, opens your heart to see His calling. May He bless your business, protect your family, and grant you even greater success.”

This powerful demonstration of selflessness is a call to action for all Muslims and non-Muslims alike. If those outside the faith can embody such generosity, how much more should those within? As Ramadan continues, let this be a reminder that giving is not just an obligation; it is a path to blessings beyond measure.

May this spirit of kindness inspire many more to give, uplift, and foster unity that lasts far beyond Ramadan.
Ramadan Mubarak!
