They were speaking ahead of their engagement with the minister of Water and Sanitation, Pemmy Majodina alongside Matjhabeng mayor, Thanduxolo Khalipha.
The minister handed over the refurbished and upgraded Waste Water Treatment plant. This includes 42 pump stations as well as over one thousand 500 kilometres of sewer networks that have been fixed.
A resident expressed relief over the issue of sewer being addressed in Thabong and Matjhabeng Municipality as a whole.
“The situation has been very bad with elders even struggling to move around in yards because it is filled with sewer. We could see that this was also going to affect people’s health.”
