I remember the first time I met Geoffrey Mwambao, a determined man from Kampala, Uganda, who had an extraordinary story to tell. His experience was one that mingled modern-day con artistry with ancient practices of revenge spells. Geoffrey’s journey to recover his lost money was nothing short of remarkable.
It all started when Geoffrey, eager to invest in precious metals, fell victim to a notorious conman. This businessman had built a reputation for his supposed lucrative deals, but in reality, he was a fraud. Geoffrey was duped into buying what he believed to be gold, only to discover later that he had been sold worthless metals. The scam cost him a substantial sum of $500, a significant amount of money for Geoffrey.
Feeling utterly betrayed and desperate, Geoffrey sought various ways to reclaim his hard-earned money. Legal channels seemed ineffective against the conman’s well-protected schemes. With no other recourse, Geoffrey decided to explore an unconventional option that he had heard about through local whispers: a revenge spell.TrendingTRENDING VIDEO: How Muhoozi Plans To Capture Power Using The Army
In Kampala, stories of powerful traditional healers and their abilities to invoke justice are not uncommon. Geoffrey was directed to a well-known healer renowned for his potent spells. This healer, understanding the gravity of Geoffrey’s situation, agreed to help him for a fee. Geoffrey, driven by desperation and a desire for retribution, paid the healer and followed his instructions meticulously.
The ritual was elaborate and deeply rooted in traditional practices. The healer invoked spirits, using chants and special herbs to cast a revenge spell aimed at the conman. Geoffrey was instructed to perform certain rites at specific times, enhancing the potency of the spell.
Days turned into weeks, and Geoffrey began to doubt whether the spell would work. Then, the unexpected happened. The conman, who had been living comfortably off his deceit, started experiencing severe discomfort. He was plagued by excruciating pain in his private parts and disturbing dreams that left him terrified and sleepless. These inexplicable symptoms grew worse each day, and despite seeking medical help, there was no relief.
Driven to the brink of madness by his suffering, the conman sought out Geoffrey. The once-confident businessman was now a shadow of his former self, desperate and broken. He confessed his crime, begging Geoffrey for forgiveness and offering to return the $500 he had conned from him. Geoffrey, seeing the man’s torment, felt a mix of satisfaction and pity.
When the conman handed over the money, Geoffrey knew that the spell had worked. It was a moment of vindication, a clear sign that justice had been served in a way that conventional means had failed to achieve. The healer’s spell had not only recovered his lost money but also brought the conman to account for his actions.
Geoffrey’s story spread like wildfire through Kampala. People were both amazed and wary, recognizing the power of traditional practices that still held sway in their modern lives. For Geoffrey, it was a reaffirmation of the old ways, a reminder that sometimes, justice can be found in the most unexpected places.
Reflecting on Geoffrey’s journey, I am struck by the interplay between faith in traditional beliefs and the desperation of those wronged by the unscrupulous. Geoffrey’s tale is a testament to the enduring power of cultural practices and the lengths to which people will go to seek retribution and justice.
In Kampala, Geoffrey’s experience has become a cautionary tale and a story of hope. It highlights the complexity of dealing with modern-day fraud in a society where ancient practices still offer solutions. Geoffrey’s encounter with the healer and the subsequent recovery of his money serve as a powerful reminder of the unseen forces that can influence our lives.
As I recount Geoffrey’s story, I am reminded of the resilience and ingenuity of people like him who refuse to be defeated by injustice. His journey from victim to victor, aided by a traditional revenge spell, underscores the enduring relevance of cultural practices in contemporary society.
Geoffrey’s story is not just about recovering lost money; it is about the triumph of belief and the power of traditional wisdom. It is a narrative that resonates with many, reflecting the deep-seated cultural practices that continue to shape the lives of people in Uganda and beyond.

Ugandan Citizen Abducted, Held in Secret Detention for Three Months, Sparks Outrage and Calls for Justice

Published

A disturbing new case of unlawful detention has surfaced, highlighting the ongoing human rights crisis in Uganda. A Ugandan citizen was reportedly abducted and held in a secret facility, known as a “safe house,” for three months, only to be released without charge or explanation. This incident, reported by NTV Uganda, has sparked widespread condemnation and renewed calls for accountability regarding human rights abuses in the country.
While the details surrounding the abduction remain unclear, reports indicate that the individual was taken without due process and held incommunicado—an action that has long been condemned by human rights organizations. The victim’s release, with no charges filed and no clear justification, has angered activists and citizens, who view this as yet another case of egregious abuse of power by the state.
“This is a recurring pattern,” said one human rights activist. “Abductions, secret detentions, and unexplained releases have become all too common in Uganda. These acts violate fundamental human rights and erode public trust in the justice system.”
The use of “safe houses,” unregistered detention facilities reportedly operated by security forces, has been a focal point in numerous allegations of torture and illegal imprisonment. Despite repeated calls from both local and international organizations for their closure and accountability for those involved, little action has been taken to address these violations.
This case underscores the urgent need for reform within Uganda’s security apparatus and greater accountability for human rights abuses. Observers hope that drawing attention to these injustices will spur concrete action to bring those responsible to justice and ensure the protection of basic human rights.
As frustration mounts, calls for both domestic and international pressure to hold the government accountable for such crimes grow louder. “One day, there must be accountability for all these crimes against our people,” stated one social media user, reflecting the sentiments of many Ugandans.

NUP Gathering Disrupted: Kyagulanyi Alleges Security Force Harassment and Arrests

Published

National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi has accused Ugandan security forces of using excessive force to disrupt a planned NUP gathering. The allegations were detailed in a statement shared on Twitter, following an event held to honor children of NUP supporters who were killed, disappeared, or detained for their political beliefs.
According to Kyagulanyi, security personnel, under the command of an officer identified as Asiimwe, carried out a preemptive operation early in the morning upon learning of the NUP’s plans. The forces allegedly stormed the premises, arrested workers, and deployed tear gas to disperse those present.
“The criminals under the command of one Asiimwe deployed early morning, arrested our workers, and threw tear gas into our premises. They’ve cordoned off the premises and blocked all people from accessing the place,” Kyagulanyi wrote.
Among those reportedly arrested were Saava Peter, Mudenya Samson, and Turyasingura Samson. Kyagulanyi claimed the detained workers were subjected to beatings and interrogated about their political affiliations, with security operatives labeling them as terrorists.
“These JATT operatives asked the workers who they support politically, branding them terrorists and criminals—their only crime being that they work with us. You can imagine the indignity!” Kyagulanyi lamented.
This incident adds to the growing tension in Uganda’s political climate, where opposition parties frequently accuse the government of stifling dissent. Despite the challenges, Kyagulanyi ended his statement with a message of defiance and optimism, proclaiming, “UGANDA WILL BE FREE.”
