Three killed, four wounded in Kalksteenfontein mass shooting

Three people have been killed and four others wounded in a mass shooting in Kalksteenfontein near Bishop Lavis on the Cape Flats.
The shooting incident follows another incident in which two people were killed in the same area earlier this week.
Chairperson of the Bishop Lavis Crime Prevention Forum, Graham Lindhorst, has called on law enforcement to intervene in the restoration of law and order to the area.
“Bishop Lavis Crime Prevention Forum condemns in the strongest form the mass shooting. We further call on the authorities to make sure that they to put a lid to these gang activities within our area because shooting is a daily occurrence. Every night they shoot and this shooting comes on the back of a double murder that took place two days ago in the very same area,” says Lindhorst.
