Three young learners from Different schools, Marlhuné Bezuidenhout from Hoërskool Secunda in Mpumalanga, Naftal Khoza from Ennerdale, and Khushi Lall from Tyger Valley College in Pretoria, will be going to China to present research that will assist in addressing challenges faced within the country.
The three young scientists will be showcasing research projects addressing critical challenges in agriculture, environmental sustainability and food safety at the 2025 Beijing Young Science Creation Competition.
Eskom Expo Executive Director, Parthy Chetty, says the presentation will allow learners to collaborate globally and explore their studies further.
“It allows them to collaborate with other learners from other countries on common research but it also opens up new avenues to further their studies, further their research and these kind of collaborations is only possible through these science fest, so it does allow them to explore more avenues than having school systems or the University systems that is limited in South Africa, so it does open doors for these learners. Chetty says.
