Fox News and Tucker Carlson part ways Fox News has announced that it has parted ways with one of its most popular and controversial presenters Tucker Carlson the statement released by Fox News did not disclose the reason for his departure or whether Carlson was aware it would be his last show

The move comes just days after Fox News agreed to pay almost 800 million dollars to settle a lawsuit over its coverage of the 2020 presidential election there is much we don’t know about the situation including what triggered the departure of Carlson and Fox News is pointing reporters to the statement previously released

The BBC is reaching out to Carlson to try and get a comment from him regarding the matter Carlson was a key figure for Fox News attracting an average of 3 million viewers during his prime time slot however his departure could impact the network financially Fox News is currently facing another

Lawsuit from a former producer working for Carlson who said the work environment was hostile Michelle Fleury a BBC correspondent revealed in text messages that other hosts and anchors at Fox News expressed incredulity at some of the claims aired on the network it is unclear how this situation will impact Fox News going forward
