They now face charges of pointing a firearm and contravention of the immigration act after initially being charged with attempted murder, defeating the ends of justice and possession of a firearm.
Their arrest relates to a shooting incident involving a 23-year-old man believed to be a gardener at the Mugabe residency in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.

NPA Gauteng Spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole confirmed that the case has been postponed for further proceedings.
“The postponement is to allow the state to provide the defence with confirmatory documentary evidence from the Department of Home Affairs and to enable the defence to obtain further instructions from the accused,” says Mohlatlole.
