Two firefighters hospitalised after blaze in Edenvale


Two firefighters from a private company have been hospitalised following a blaze at the Korean Motor Spares shop in Edenvale, east of Johannesburg.
At this stage, it is still not clear what caused the blaze but the Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services are on scene trying to put it out.
“The structure is well alight as we speak and unfortunately, we have two firefighters injured not municipality firefighters, as part of the wall collapsing. They have been taken to hospital for further medical treatment.The scene is developing as we speak,” says Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services spokesperson William Ntladi.
