Saturday, April 13•Pajule Lions Vs Pakwach Young Stars – Pader•BUL Vs KCCA – Njeru

Sunday, April 14•Kitara Vs Vipers – Masindi

BUL and KCCA will battle for a spot in the semifinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Saturday at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

For KCCA, the Uganda Cup presents a prime opportunity to clinch silverware this season, especially with the league title out of their reach.

Notably, victory in the Uganda Cup not only means glory but also the chance to represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup.

This will be the third meeting this season between the two sides: BUL won the league opener at Njeru thanks to Nicholas Mweru’s solitary goal.

The subsequent encounter at Lugogo in the league’s second round ended in a goalless draw.

However, KCCA enters this contest buoyed by their recent form, boasting five consecutive wins while BUL have two league wins to show in the year 2024.

Meanwhile, BUL, currently positioned second in the league, can still win a double this season.

Their journey to this quarterfinal clash saw them dispatch Simba, Kyambura, and then overcome Uganda Premier League side Express in a dramatic penalty shootout.

On the other hand, KCCA’s path to the quarterfinals has seen them eliminate Admin/Bugisu United, Jinja North United, and URA FC, notably without conceding a single goal in the competition.

KCCA coach Abdallah Mubiru faces the absence of midfielder Ashraf Mugume, while BUL coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko enters the match with a clean bill of health, devoid of any injury concerns.
