A Ugandan security guard’s life has taken an incredible turn after winning over 180 million Ugandan shillings through a wager with Uganda Bettors Association’s fixed games.
Obo Denis, who has worked as a security guard for over a decade, shares his emotional journey: “I had to drop out of school when my parents couldn’t afford the fees. I came to Kampala hoping to find work, but life has been an uphill battle. Twice, I nearly lost hope entirely due to overwhelming financial struggles.”
One day, however, a story on the internet caught his eye—a fellow security guard had won big with Uganda Bettors Association.
“I was convinced,” he says, “and I borrowed money to subscribe. I wasn’t looking to gamble anymore; this was a ‘do or die’ moment for me. I entrusted them to stake for me and sent my account details. The next day, I couldn’t believe it when they sent screenshots showing my massive win.
