Ugandans question artistes’ silence amidst protests
Ugandans on both social media and on ground have questioned the silence of their musicians, regarding the march to parliament protest against corruption.
This was after singer Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi,used her social media platforms especially Facebook and X to talk about the on-going social injustices in the country.
Ugandans on social media and on ground applauded Azawi for being brave and wiser than her colleagues.
Musicians are known as “luseke beaters” who won’t mind taking money from the government to satisfy their whims,at the expense of Ugandans.
Ugandans are asking themselves why most musicians are so comfortable with corruption.
