The Uganda Premier League (UPL) is back! The fixtures for the 2024/25 season have been released.
The opening week (Matchday one) of the UPL will have all sixteen teams in action, with eight matches spread across four days, from 13th-16th September.
In the opening fixture on Friday, September 13, KCCA will host URA at Lugogo, in the only match of the day, that will be televised.
On Saturday, September 14, there will be a double header at Nakivubo as new entrants Lugazi will host Kitara at 4:00pm before Express host newcomers Mbale Heroes.
On Sunday, September 15, Wakiso Giants will host Bright Stars in Wakiso, NEC visit Maroons at Luzira. In the only game that will be televised on the day, Vipers will host UPDF at Kitende.
On Monday, September 16, newbies Police will host BUL at Kavumba, as defending Champions SC Villa host Mbarara City at Namboole.
It’s strong to note that Lugazi will only use Nakivubo for that opening fixture before returning to Lugazi FC Stadium in Najjembe on Match-day three.
The first round will climax on January 2 2025, and the second round will kickoff on January 22 2015 with match-day six.
The season will end on May 24, 2025.
