Bugerere United Football Club, also known as Uganda Sports Arena FC, registered their first win of the 2025/26 Buganda Regional League (3rd Division) season after defeating Wobulenzi United FC 2-1 in a spirited performance at Ntenjeru Ssaza Grounds on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
The victory lifted the Kayunga-based side off the bottom of the table, offering a timely boost after their opening day 2-0 defeat to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) FC.
Bugerere started the match with intent, pressing high and dictating play early on. Their efforts paid off in the first half when new signing Ismael Kayondo broke the deadlock, giving the home fans reason to cheer.

In the second half, Coach Yawe Lutalo Ibrahim made a tactical change that proved decisive—introducing young attacker Fahad Sseremba for Alfred Kasibante. The substitution paid off immediately as Sseremba doubled Bugerere’s lead just two minutes after coming on, showcasing composure and attacking instinct.
Wobulenzi United, however, refused to go down quietly. They pulled a goal back through Denis Wadibire from the penalty spot after Emmanuel Labson Mugerwa was fouled in the area. Despite their late push, the visitors couldn’t find an equalizer as Bugerere held on to claim all three points.
