Kawempe Muslim Secondary School climbed to the top of the standings on Day Three of the USSSA Kawempe Division Qualifiers after a composed and effective outing at their home playground.
The hosts began their day with a goalless draw against Caltec Academy in a tightly contested encounters. However, they bounced back in style in their second fixture, dismantling Makerere College 4-1 to seal maximum points and surge to the summit with 13 points.
Kazo Hill College, who started the day at the top, slipped to second after a pair of draws. They were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Caltec Academy, a result that saw them move to 10 points and surrender their lead in the standings.
Elsewhere, Caltec Academy were involved in another entertaining contest, playing out a 2-2 draw with Universal to cap a busy day of action.
Highland SS edged Oxford High School 1-0 in a closely fought match, while Ghadafi Integrated Academy produced a commanding display to defeat Oxford Muslim 3-0.
With Kawempe Muslim SS now in control at the top, the race for qualification continues to intensify as teams jostle for position in the remaining fixtures.
