TRAGIC! Sudden HR boss death strikes UNEB

Uganda’s education sector is reeling after the sudden death of Sebastian Mwendha Ngobi, the Director of Human Resources & Administration at the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
Ngobi, a veteran education administrator, died on the evening of Friday, 5th December, at Platinum Hospital after a brief illness. The circumstances surrounding his death remain mysterious.

Ngobi’s impressive career included stints as Headteacher of Ruiru High School in Kenya, Academic Registrar of Makerere University, and HR Director at Makerere, before joining UNEB.
UNEB management expressed deep sorrow, offering condolences to Ngobi’s family. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
