Former Deputy National Police Commissioner for Support Services Francinah Vuma is giving evidence before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee, investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system on March 11, 2026.

Vuma details Masemola’s post-suspension raid at Committee hearing


Former Deputy National Police Commissioner for Support Services Francinah Vuma says National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola raided her office shortly after her suspension in 2022.
She is testifying before the Ad Hoc Committee, investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system.
Vuma says her working documents in her office were confiscated by Masemola together with the Head of Counter Intelligence.
She says, “Following my suspension on July 2022 by General Masemola. On the 13th of July, General Masemola together with the Head of Counter Intelligence Brigadier Muyane raided my office and they took all the documents that were in my disposal in my office.”
Vuma says she was suspended until she went on retirement this year.
She says during her suspension, there were no disciplinary hearings that took place until her departure.
Vuma says, “I was suspended by the current national commissioner on the 8th of July 2022. The suspension which was never uplifted for a period of three and half years up until I retired by the first of February 2026.”
